Conference Registration

Conference registration is available at https://css.paperplaza.net , through May, 19th. On-site registration will be open from Monday morning, June 2nd, to Friday afternoon June 6th. The registration desk will be open during the following hours:

• Monday, June 2: 8:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
• Tuesday: June 3: 8:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
• Wednesday: June 4: 8:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
• Thursday: June 5: 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
• Friday: June 6: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Registration is mandatory for all conference and workshop participants. Personal badges will be provided to identify registered participants.

Conference Registration Rates and Fees

All registered participants will receive admission to the welcome and farewell receptions and one set of the conference proceedings on a USB flash drive (CDs will be available upon request). Member and Non-Member registration also includes the conference lunch banquet. Registration packets (including printed receipts) for all advance registrations will be available at the conference registration desk.

Additional Proceedings (USB or CD): $50
Additional Lunch Banquet Tickets: $75 each

ACC Policy On Registration and Paper Upload

The Member registration rate is limited to members of the American Automatic Control Council societies (AIAA, AIChE, ASCE, ASME, IEEE, ISA, SCS, and SIAM). Life members of AACC societies are not entitled to further reductions in conference registration rates.

One Member or Non-Member registration at the advance registration rate must be paid by one of the authors of an accepted paper before the final version of the paper can be uploaded for presentation at the conference and inclusion in the conference proceedings. Further, each Member or Non-Member registration allows the registrant to upload a maximum of four (4) papers. Each additional paper upload (beyond 4) requires an additional payment of $200.

The Student registration rate is restricted for those attendees who, at the time of registration or initial submission, are full-time students at a recognized educational institution. Student registrants should bring evidence of full-time student status to the conference. Note that papers cannot be uploaded with Student registrations.

The Retiree registration rate is restricted for those attendees who, at the time of registration, are retired or do not hold full-time employment. Note that papers cannot be uploaded with Retiree registrations.

The one-day registration fee is available on-site only.

Receptions and Banquet

• Welcome Reception: Tuesday evening. One drink ticket is included with full/student registration.
• Farewell Reception: Friday evening. One drink ticket and a MAX rail ticket to get to the reception are included with full/student registration.
• Banquet: Lunch on Thursday. One ticket for Veg/Non-Veg lunch is included with full/student registration.

Workshop Registration

A number of preconference workshops will be offered at ACC 2014, on Monday June 2 and Tuesday June 3. See the workshop page for more information. Workshop attendance requires a separate registration payment, as noted below. All prices are in U.S. dollars.

Note: Please note that the workshop entitled ‘Developing Battery Management Systems Using Model-Based Design’ is sponsored by MathWorks so all participants may register at the Student/Retiree rate.

Note: Please note that the workshop entitled 'Ubiquitous Hands-On Learning: The Future of Engineering Education' is sponsored by the National Science Foundation so all participants will be reimbursed up to $100 of the registration fee. The attendance is limited to 40 people.

Space is limited in workshops. Therefore, Advance registration for workshops is highly recommended.

Conference registrants can sign up for workshops directly through the registration site. For workshop-only registration (i.e., registering for a workshop without registering for the conference proper), please contact the conference Registration Chair, Murti Salapaka ([email protected]) with your name, e-mail address, and PaperPlaza PIN.

Payment Options

Conference and workshop registration payments, whether in advance or on-site, must be made with a credit card and will be charged in U.S. dollars. Purchase orders, bon de commandes, promissory notes, bank transfers, personal checks, and cash will not be accepted.

Refund Policy

Refund requests for advance registrations will be honored only if they are received in writing no later than April 15, 2014. Any refunds requested after April 15 will incur a 50% penalty. Authors who have uploaded their papers are not entitled to refund. No refunds will be issued after June 1, 2014
